New: Blogger/Youtuber sample packs

I have had many requests for to have blogger/youtuber samples packs posted in my shop and I finally got around to getting it done.

The USA listing I did as free shipping and pay $1.00 for the samples because it was the easiest way to do it.

International ladies I had to do it differently, so I may need to tweak the listing. I listed with a .20 cent price and had to guessitmate weight for shipping, so if it is too high I will have to tweak the weight.  Ecrater isn't the most user friendly place.

Did you get mistletoe'd last night?

Sadly, I did not...

...but here is a look using Mistletoe'd.  This is actually the look from my Midnight Magic tutorial, but I thought I would go ahead and post it since I took pics. :)
pt fINAL
Mistletoe'd
Face: Pretty Pampered primer powder.

Eyes: elf Mineral Primer all over lid and Midnight Magic on the outer half of lid blended with a brush.

Ice Princess ♥ lower lid
Making Merry ♥ crease
Felicity (l/e gwp) hightlight

Liner: Antique Gold Cream liner upper and lower lashline with Mistletoe'd applied over it on the bottom lashline.

Mascara: CG LashBlast Fusion

Cheeks: Little 15 Kiss Me Tinted Lip Balm applied with an FOB

Lips: Candy Cane Lane

Mistletoe'd was a custom order for The Makeup Zombie.  Thanks Wendi I love this color!

Ah, I just joined Twitter (thanks again Wendi)  I am such a noob, but I am sure I will get the hang of it soon.  You can follow me @dgcosmetics, or click the link below.  I will be posting twitter only specials from time to time so be on the look out. :)

Midnight Magic...a tutorial

I have been meaning to do this for some time now, but one of my customers finally gave me the push to go ahead and do a tutorial for the Midnight Magic Eye Primer, as I feel there is definitely a learning curve to it. :)  I hope you all find this helpful.

Sorry some of the pic's were taken in my bedroom where I do my make-up and others were taken in the kitchen where I take my pic's for fotd's so the coloring is off in some of them, but you still get the idea of how to do everything.
PT 1
Okay, my face isn't bare.  I have already put on my foundation and you can already start to see the oiliness coming through in the crease of my lids. : /
PT2
I decided to do the left eye in the pic with Stay The Day Eye Primer and the right with Midnight Magic, so you could see the difference.

Left eye:  Stay The Day Primer all over lid, just finger blended.  Tip: if you have hooded lids, which I do just before applying shadow just take your finger and run in over the crease to make sure primer hasn't pooled up.

Right eye: elf Mineral Primer all over and then just a dab of Midnight Magic on the outer third of lower lid.  I don't know why, but when I use Midnight Magic I prefer to use a more matte-ish primer on the rest of the lid.
PT3
I then take a brush with a tapered head and blend inwards, so I start from the outer lid and blend towards my nose and then blend up into the crease.
PT 3.1
This is the brush I use.  I think anything with a tapered head will work well for this.

PT4
Now I am all primed up and ready for shadow.  You can see in the pic the the left is kind of shiny because the Stay The Day has a slightly tacky finish, which is what the pigments stick to so well.  The right eye looks more matte because the elf primer dries down to a satiny finish.
PT5
I have applied shadow to the lower lid.  This is just to show you the subtle difference between the two primers.  The left eye looks more pastel where the right eye looks a little deeper.  I also think the darker base brings out the duochrome a lot more.
DSCI0078
...And here is the final look.  It is somewhat subtle in the pic, but the left eye looks much more pastel and the right eye the blue shift in Ice Princess pops more.

Is Midnight Magic an everyday primer?  No, but it can give a whole new life to some or your eye shadows.

Some of my favorite colors to use with Midnight Magic are:

Exhale
B.F.F.
Harvest Moon
Ice Princess
Enchanted
Magnolia

Santa Baby...

Wow, I just realized it's been a while since I did a blog posting.  You ladies have been keeping me busy at the production table!  I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday season.

Can you believe Christmas is in just a few days?

Do you all have all your shopping done?

I started and finished mine the day before yesterday.  Luckily I went shopping during the day and it wasn't terribly busy at the mall, Yay for me! :)  I hope to do a little Christmas baking this weekend.  I am making homemade peppermint bark, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Sugar Cookies and Oatmeal Cranberry cookies.  I am the only one who like the oatmeal cranberry, but that's fine by me. LOL

This was what I wore to the mall the other day.  Overall, I really liked this look, but I wish I would have went with a deeper purple liner.  I really love the golds, coppers and bronzes mixed together though and Santa Baby is such a pretty copper because it has just a little bit of pink in it.

Santa Baby ♥ outer two thirds of lid.
Capricious ♥ crease.
